Flat light and a covered sky today, with a light W breeze and steady pressure. Whatever swims in Lac Vallee should be near the margins and the shelf beyond them. The evening should out-fish the rest of the day. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Vallee is one of the Capitale-Nationale waters in Quebec. Elevation runs to 214 metres. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Quebec listings. Supplies mean a trip to Saint-Ubalde, 15 km off. Sainte-Foy is the closest city, 64 km away. Neighbouring water: Lac Fortin roughly 1 km, Lac Long 1.3 km, Le Gros Lac roughly 1.6 km, Lac Page 1.8 km and Le Petit Lac roughly 2.1 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Nothing we hold settles how deep this runs. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Across Capitale-Nationale, recorded fish include lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker and sauger. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. Lac Vallee gives up more to patience than to distance.
Climate normals give 18°C for July and -14°C for January. Hard water is a season in its own right here. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. On average, late April opens the water and late November closes it again. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. At Lac Vallee the season follows that pattern closely.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. The nearest alternative is Lac Fortin, 1 km out. The position on Lac Vallee is worth confirming on the day.
