Bands of rain crossing through the day, with light air out of the SSW and no real change in pressure. On Lac Robillard, work inflow corners and shaded margins first. The morning should out-fish the rest of the day. Trust the forecast and stay out through the window. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Robillard lies in Laurentides, Quebec. This is rolling bush ground. At 4 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Laurentides. Nearest town is Val-David, 8.1 km off. Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne sits 56 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Reported across Laurentides: pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. On Lac Robillard the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
The warmest month averages 18°C, the coldest about -14°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. Climate averages put the opening at about late April and the closing near late November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. At Lac Robillard the season follows that pattern closely.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac a Wellie-Huot, 0.9 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the position at Lac Robillard before loading the car.
