Fishing near Windsor, Colorado

Windsor, Colorado, sits in Weld County. Everything below is within a morning of the door. Running from near to far: Windsor Lake 0.5 miles to the north, Law Reservoir 3.7 miles, Eaton-Law Reservoir 4.0 miles to the north-east plus Oklahoma Reservoir 4.2 miles. Oklahoma Reservoir is held water: deepest at the wall, shallowing back to the inflow. The freeze arrives properly here. Nothing sensible happens under the lid without proper gear. The list leans heavily on held water. Wind decides which side is worth your time. At 168 acres, Windsor Lake is the closest water to town. There is a launch at Windsor Lake, so a boat is an option there. Expect the lakes here to open about early March. Across Weld County, recorded fish include white sucker, common carp, green sunfish, longnose sucker and bluegill. If Windsor Lake is busy, everything else on this list is quieter....
