Dull, settled light over the water, with almost no wind to speak of and steady pressure. On Lac Turn, work inflow corners and shaded margins first. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

The Mauricie end of Quebec holds Lac Turn. Land around it is boreal forest. At roughly 9 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. Leblanc at 80 km is the nearest place to stop. Trois-Rivières is the closest city, 285 km away. Others within reach: Lac Christie at 0.8 km, 0.9 km away is Lac Tempo, Lac Dan at 1.1 km, 1.5 km away is Lac Telemaque and Lac Rene at 1.6 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Species logged across Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout and walleye. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. At Lac Turn the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
The year swings from about -18°C in January to roughly 16°C in July. The window is narrow, and fish feed hard while it lasts. Winter locks it down, and early May brings it back. Averages suggest open water from about early May through to roughly mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Turn.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac Christie at 0.8 km is the sensible second choice. Rules at Lac Turn are worth checking on the day.
