Passing showers with dry spells between, with a helpful ripple pushed from the SSW and the barometer holding steady. Most of the action on Lac Perreault should come off the weed line and any gaps in it. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Perreault lies in Outaouais, Quebec. The bank is 290 metres above sea level. Small at around 8 hectares: two anglers spread out cover most of it. The nearest place of any size is Deep River, 26 km away. Chalk River is 32 km away, with Petawawa at 44 km. Others worth noting: Lac Dumouchel about 1.2 km, Lac Blais near enough 1.5 km, Lac Acob about 1.7 km, Lac Ringrose near enough 2.2 km and Lac Fortin about 3.2 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Lac Perreault repays a walk before the first cast.
The range across the year is -14°C to 18°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about late April. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. It holds true on Lac Perreault more years than not.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac Dumouchel sits 1.2 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Perreault in what we hold.
