Rain moving through today, with a whisper of wind from the SSW with the glass holding level. Most of the action on Lac Acob should come off shallow cover and weed edges. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Acob lies within the bounds of Outaouais, Quebec. The surface lies 280 metres up. It measures about 14 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. The edge runs 2.4 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. You are 25 km from Deep River. The big place round here is Gatineau, 152 km distant. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Open biodiversity records for Outaouais list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. The county list is broader than any single water. Read Lac Acob for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Long-run averages give July about 18°C and January about -14°C. Hard water is a season in its own right here. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around late April. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. That is the shape of the year on Lac Acob.
Our records carry no access rule either way. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac Perreault at 1.7 km is the sensible second choice. For Lac Acob, the notice at the access point is the final word.
