Passing showers with dry spells between, with a faint SW drift and no real change in pressure. Expect most activity at Lac Gull around sheltered bays and points. A stay-home graph, with the morning as the one excuse to go. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Gull is an Outaouais water, in Quebec. Height above sea level is 345 metres. This is sizeable water at about 1.20 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. The perimeter runs near 6.9 km, so plan the walk before you start. Size puts it in the front rank of our Outaouais list. The closest town, Deep River, is 20 km away. Chalk River lies 26 km off, Petawawa another 39 km. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Records held for Outaouais cover pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Lac Gull that means starting tight and working out.
Between January at about -14°C and July at about 18°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Plan any trip to Lac Gull around it.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. For a change of water, Lac Fournier is 2 km distant. Signs at Lac Gull carry more weight than any list.
