No direct sun expected today, with just enough SW wind to ripple the surface with the barometer flat. Give the margins and the shelf beyond them the first hour at Lac Clubhouse. A tough forecast; the night offers the only real chance. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

The Outaouais end of Quebec holds Lac Clubhouse. It lies 286 metres above sea level. With some 57 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. The margin runs to about 6.3 km in total. Few waters listed in Outaouais are bigger. The nearest place of any size is Deep River, 17 km away. Chalk River follows at 24 km, then Petawawa at 37 km. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Species logged across Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Fish Lac Clubhouse to its features, not to its size.
Typical July readings run about 18°C; by January the average is down near -14°C. Cold locks it up for a good stretch each year. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near late April. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Plan any trip to Lac Clubhouse around it.
Public data does not answer the access question here. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Failing this one, try Lac Pato, 2.1 km away. Confirm access to Lac Clubhouse locally before you travel.
