A grey, even sky over the water, with light air out of the SW and pressure going nowhere. Most of the action on Lac Robillard should come off windblown banks where food collects. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Lac Robillard lies within the bounds of Outaouais, Quebec. The bank is 339 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 6 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Deep River at 21 km is the nearest place to stop. After that come Chalk River at 29 km and Petawawa at 44 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Survey and observation records for Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Lac Robillard a short move beats a long cast.
Temperature averages peak at 18°C in July and bottom out at -14°C in January. Expect a real winter and a strong spring after it. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around late April. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. On Lac Robillard the same rules apply, with local timing.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Local rules can differ across the county line, so check where you stand. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. If the gate is shut, Lac Boisvert at 1 km is the nearest alternative. What applies at Lac Robillard may have changed since it was mapped.
