Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with next to no ripple and the barometer holding steady. Expect most activity at Lac Kiamika around the weed line and any gaps in it. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Kiamika is one of the Capitale-Nationale waters in Quebec. The bank is 314 metres above sea level. On water this small, stealth matters more than range. It is a small entry by Capitale-Nationale standards. The nearest place of any size is Laurentides, 15 km away. La Tuque is 38 km and Sainte-Thècle 50 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Species logged across Capitale-Nationale include lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon, longnose sucker and sauger. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. At Lac Kiamika light and wind decide more than tackle does.
Climate records put July near 17°C and January near -15°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Count the season from break-up, usually late April. Climate figures give an open season running late April to late November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Anyone fishing Lac Kiamika regularly works to that calendar.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Formal access is not mapped, so the last stretch is likely on foot. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Donnery sits 0.3 km off and takes the overflow. Rules at Lac Kiamika are worth checking on the day.
