A wet system passing over today, with next to no ripple and the barometer holding steady. Expect most activity at Lac Digo around the calm side of the wind. The night should out-fish the rest of the day. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Digo sits in Mauricie, out in Quebec. The ground around here is spruce and muskeg. It runs to roughly 15 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. The whole outline is near 3.4 km, and most of it is walkable. The nearest place of any size is Leblanc, 56 km away. Saguenay sits 225 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Public occurrence data for Mauricie names northern pike, brook trout and walleye. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. At Lac Digo the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
The warmest month averages 16°C, the coldest about -18°C. The year here is short and sharp: a long lid, then a burst of open water. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near early May. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Expect Lac Digo to follow that timing.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Where the road in crosses private land, ask first. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. For a change of water, Lac Lionel is 2 km distant. Rules at Lac Digo are worth checking on the day.
