A closed sky with even light today, with just enough SSW wind to ripple the surface and no real change in pressure. The fish at Lac Tse are likely to sit near shallow cover and weed edges. The numbers single out the night. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Fish follow the bait in autumn, so find one to find the other.

Lac Tse is a Mauricie water, Quebec side. It stands 466 metres above sea level. With some 11 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Shoreline comes to about 1.9 km, small enough to learn in a day. Head to Leblanc, 52 km away, for anything you forgot. After that come Weymontachie at 92 km and Normandin at 115 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. County-wide records name northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. The shape of Lac Tse rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Seasonal averages run from -18°C in January up to 16°C in July. Water stays cold even at the height of the year. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from early May. Break-up sits around early May on average, with the water closing again about mid November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. The season on Lac Tse follows the weather closely.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Creux sits 1.8 km off and takes the overflow. Signs at Lac Tse carry more weight than any list.
