A bright day with hardly any cloud, with a steady WNW wind with a settled glass. On Lac de la Dame, work the weed line and any gaps in it first. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Night
Lac de la Dame is a Chaudière-Appalaches water, Quebec side. Land around it is pine and birch. Roughly 12 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. Shoreline comes to about 2.2 km, small enough to learn in a day. Compared with other Quebec water on our list, it sits high. The town to know is Linière, 13 km out. Beyond it, Saint-Côme--Linière at 23 km and Saint-Georges at 34 km. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Species logged across Chaudière-Appalaches include lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon and longnose sucker. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. On Lac de la Dame the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
In an average year July sits at 17°C and January at -13°C. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. On Lac de la Dame that shapes the whole year.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. The nearest alternative is Lac de l'Ile, 0.6 km out. Confirm access to Lac de la Dame locally before you travel.
