Soft grey light all day today, with flat calm through the day and no real change in pressure. The productive water at Lac Bouard will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. A hard day on paper; the night edges the rest. Scale down and fish slowly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, is where Lac Bouard sits. It stands 348 metres above sea level. It measures about 53 hectares, which is a comfortable size for bank fishing. With 5.8 km or so of shoreline, boat anglers cover ground the bank cannot. Few waters listed in Abitibi-Témiscamingue are bigger. The town to know is Notre-Dame-du-Lac, 98 km out. Greater Sudbury sits 246 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Fish documented in Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. The near bank of Lac Bouard is often the one people ignore.
On the long-term average, July reads 17°C and January reads -15°C. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about late April until roughly late November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. At Lac Bouard the season follows that pattern closely.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Access points are not mapped for this water, which suits people who like quiet. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac du Jars, 0.5 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Lac Bouard in what we hold.
