Dull, settled light over the water, with a soft WSW wind with the glass holding level. The water to cover at Lac Adeodat is inflow corners and shaded margins. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec, is where Lac Adeodat sits. It sits in taiga. Roughly 21 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. The bank runs about 2.2 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. Nearest place of any size is Pont Rouge, 89 km away. Then Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc, 91 km, and Labrecque, 94 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean records list northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish among the fish reported. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. On Lac Adeodat the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Between January at about -19°C and July at about 16°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Cold dominates the year and the fishing works around it. Once it clears, about early May, the fishing comes on quickly. The lid tends to go about early May and return around mid November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. It holds true on Lac Adeodat more years than not.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Mercier sits 1.7 km off and takes the overflow. Where Lac Adeodat is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
