An unsettled, stormy sky today, with a gentle ripple from the SSW and the barometer holding steady. Expect most activity at Lac Titch around the weed line and any gaps in it. Little to get excited about, though the night holds a sliver of promise. Lower the pace and stay patient. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Titch lies in Outaouais, in Quebec. Height above sea level is 378 metres. At about 17 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. There is roughly 2.4 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. Start from Saint-Boniface, 62 km down the road. Further out sit Maniwaki (74 km) and Ferme-Neuve (81 km). No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Outaouais, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. At Lac Titch the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
The year swings from about -17°C in January to roughly 17°C in July. A solid cap is the normal state through winter. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about late November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Anyone fishing Lac Titch regularly works to that calendar.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. For a change of water, Lac Pacey is 0.7 km distant. None of that is settled for Lac Titch in what we hold.
