A charged sky with storms about, with a gentle ripple from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. Lac Pelle should fish best around the calm side of the wind today. A hard day on paper; the evening edges the rest. Lower the pace and stay patient. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Pelle sits in Outaouais, out in Quebec. The setting is lake country bush on every side. Surface area is around 34 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The whole outline is near 3.6 km, and most of it is walkable. Size puts it in the front rank of our Outaouais list. Nearest place of any size is Saint-Boniface, 61 km away. Maniwaki is 72 km and Ferme-Neuve 81 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
There is no published depth for this one, so start shallow and work out. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Outaouais records list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt among the fish reported. The county list is broader than any single water. Work Lac Pelle in sections rather than trying to cover it.
On the long-term average, July reads 17°C and January reads -17°C. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Look for the thaw near early May; the fishing lifts straight after. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Lac Pelle runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
We hold no note on access for this one. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. If the gate is shut, Lac Ida at 1.2 km is the nearest alternative. Signs at Lac Pelle carry more weight than any list.
