Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a proper ripple driven from the SSW and pressure sitting still. Most of the action on Lac Scott should come off the seam between weed and open water. The day peaks in the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

In Quebec, Lac Scott belongs to Mauricie. It sits at 427 metres above sea level. Surface area is around 16 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The edge runs 2.0 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Leblanc is the closest place, 83 km off. Then Chapais, 96 km, and Chibougamau, 101 km. Others within reach: Lac Ulric within 0.9 km, Lac Zenon out at 1.1 km, Lac Celon within 1.6 km, Lac Arre out at 1.8 km and Lac Anctil within 2.3 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout, walleye, yellow perch and white sucker. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. At Lac Scott the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 16°C, while January sits near -19°C. The ice season is long here and the open one short. After early May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Break-up near early May, freeze-up near mid November: that is the shape of an average year. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Lac Scott runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Close seasons apply to some species and not others. Lac Ulric, 0.9 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Where Lac Scott is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
