Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with a soft SSW wind and steady pressure. On Lac Rose, work the shallows early and the drop later first. If you must go, go in the morning. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Night
Set in Outaouais, Lac Rose is a Quebec water. Country round the bank runs to lake country bush. At 8 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. For supplies, Deep River is 41 km out. Further out sit Chalk River (43 km) and Petawawa (45 km). Other water within reach: Lac Pigeon sits 1.6 km out, Lac Dunn within 2.1 km, Lac Blais sits 3.6 km out, Lac Laliberte within 3.7 km and Lac Needham sits 3.8 km out. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
We hold no depth figure for this one. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Outaouais, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Lac Rose responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Climate records put July near 18°C and January near -14°C. Hard water is a season in its own right here. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near late April. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about late April until roughly late November. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. Plan around that when you fish Lac Rose.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Lac Pigeon sits 1.6 km off and takes the overflow. Check the position at Lac Rose before loading the car.
