Damp, showery conditions today, with a helpful ripple pushed from the S and pressure sitting still. Fish at Lac Pinamen should hold close to the seam between weed and open water. A slow day overall; the night is the best of a quiet lot. Scale down and fish slowly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Pinamen is listed under Outaouais, Quebec. It stands 172 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 2 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Our Outaouais list holds plenty of bigger water. The closest town, Maniwaki, is 4.9 km distant. Saint-Boniface is 13 km away, with Saint-Raphaël at 15 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Reported across Outaouais: pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. Read Lac Pinamen before you fish it and the day goes better.
The seasonal spread runs -14°C to 19°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Lac Pinamen runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Lac Omagaki sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. The position on Lac Pinamen is worth confirming on the day.
