Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with an easy breeze from the S with a settled glass. Activity on Lac Pegy should centre on reed fringes and open pockets. Make the night the heart of the trip. Make the first hour count and build on it. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Look for Lac Pegy in Laurentides, Quebec. It sits at 395 metres above sea level. The closest town, Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, is 25 km away. La Minerve is 38 km away, with Ripon at 42 km. Within easy reach: Lac Peuplat within 1.1 km, Lac Cottenin the better part of 1.4 km, Lac des Perots within 1.6 km, Lac Vigne the better part of 1.7 km and Lac Ozan within 1.7 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Laurentides records list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch among the fish reported. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. On Lac Pegy a short move beats a long cast.
On the long-term average, July reads 18°C and January reads -14°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly late November. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. On Lac Pegy the same rules apply, with local timing.
We hold no note on access for this one. Access is unmapped, which usually means a farm track and a walk. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Failing this one, try Lac Peuplat, 1.1 km away. None of that is settled for Lac Pegy in what we hold.
