An even grey lid over the water, with a helpful ripple pushed from the S and pressure going nowhere. The productive water at Lac Vion will be around inflow corners and shaded margins. The night should out-fish the rest of the day. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones.

Lac Vion lies in Laurentides, Quebec. It sits in mixed forest country. About 2 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Laurentides. Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel lies 23 km from the water. Orléans is the closest city, 71 km away. Also within reach: Lac Fernet 0.5 km off, Lac des Perots about 0.7 km, Lac Barly 0.9 km off, Lac Cottenin about 1.1 km and Lac Campel 1.1 km off. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
There is no published depth for this one, so start shallow and work out. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Fish documented in Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac Vion gives up more to patience than to distance.
The seasonal spread runs -14°C to 18°C. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. Break-up comes around late April, and the run that follows is short and strong. The lid tends to go about late April and return around late November. The strong weeks are the first after break-up and the last before the freeze. Lac Vion runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
No access rule appears in what we hold. No made access is recorded, so a short walk in is the likely arrangement. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Fernet at 0.5 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Vion carry more weight than any list.
