Soft grey light all day today, with light air out of the S and no real change in pressure. Start the search at Lac Vigne along the margins and the shelf beyond them. One clear peak today: the night. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac Vigne is a Laurentides water, in Quebec. The surroundings are rolling bush. The town to know is Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, 27 km out. After that come La Minerve at 39 km and Ripon at 43 km. Other water nearby: Lac Peuplat out at 0.6 km, Lac Jarnac at about 1.1 km, Lac Tribot out at 1.5 km, Lac Pegy at about 1.7 km and Lac Ozan out at 1.8 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Reported across Laurentides: pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac Vigne gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
The range across the year is -14°C to 18°C. Winter shuts things down for a spell, then spring reopens them fast. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about late November. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. Expect Lac Vigne to follow that timing.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lac Peuplat sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Vigne in what we hold.
