Flat light and a covered sky today, with a stiffish breeze from the SSW with a settled glass. The fish at Lac Lise are likely to sit near shallow cover and weed edges. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Out in Lanaudière, Quebec, sits Lac Lise. It stands 465 metres above sea level. At roughly 9 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. For supplies, Manawan is 40 km out. Rivière-Rouge is 58 km and Saint-Michel-des-Saints 64 km. Nearest other option: Lac Labrosse 0.7 km off, Lac Raoul 1.3 km away, Lac Lulu 1.5 km off, Lac Clion 1.6 km away and Lac Wilfrid 1.9 km off. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Lanaudière records list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and rock bass among the fish reported. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. At Lac Lise the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
Expect July to average close to 17°C, with January the cold end at about -16°C. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Winter locks it down, and early May brings it back. Ice clears near early May and comes back about mid November in a typical year. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Lac Lise runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. Fishing from a pier is possible 1.2 km away. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Lac Labrosse, 0.7 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Where Lac Lise is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
