Rain colouring the margins today, with a firm SSW blow with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac Raoul should be near windblown banks where food collects. The numbers single out the night. Work fewer spots, but work them properly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Lac Raoul lies in Lanaudière, in Quebec. This is spruce and muskeg country. About 7 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Start from Manawan, 41 km down the road. Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne is the closest city, 151 km away. Within a short run: Lac Medora at about 1 km, 1.3 km out stands Lac Lise, Lac Labrosse at about 1.9 km, 2.2 km out stands Lac Lulu and Lac Chez-Nous at about 2.4 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth figures are not published for this one. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass and brook trout. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. On Lac Raoul the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
Averages here run 17°C at the top of summer and -16°C at the bottom of winter. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Expect Lac Raoul to follow that timing.
No access rule appears in what we hold. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. If the gate is shut, Lac Medora at 1 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Lac Raoul in what we hold.
