Clear overhead with good moonlight, with light air out of the SW with the glass holding level. Most of the action on Lac Glacon should come off points where shallow meets deep. Little to get excited about, though the morning holds a sliver of promise. Fish the best hour hard and keep the rest short.

Set in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, this is Lac Glacon. It lies 367 metres above sea level. Head to Val-d'Or, 110 km away, for anything you forgot. Further out sit Saint-Boniface (118 km) and Malartic (127 km). Others worth noting: Lac Canimina roughly 1.3 km, Lac Riek the better part of 2.5 km, Lac Axone roughly 2.9 km, Lac Paireux the better part of 3.2 km and Lac Tatou roughly 3.5 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. On Lac Glacon a short move beats a long cast.
The seasonal spread runs -16°C to 17°C. Hard water is a season in its own right here. Break-up comes around early May, and the run that follows is short and strong. Climate figures give an open season running early May to late November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Expect Lac Glacon to follow that timing.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. The nearest alternative is Lac Canimina, 1.3 km out. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Glacon for certain.
