A grey, even sky over the water, with next to no ripple with the glass holding level. Fish at Lac du Tilleul should hold close to reed fringes and open pockets. A tough forecast; the night offers the only real chance. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, is where Lac du Tilleul sits. Country round the bank runs to rolling bush. Small enough that any disturbance crosses the whole surface. Our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list holds plenty of bigger water. Val-d'Or at 101 km is the nearest place to stop. Malartic lies 113 km off, Deep River another 124 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Fish documented in Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Treat Lac du Tilleul as a water to read rather than to cover.
Between January at about -16°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. From about late April to around late November, expect open water on the long-run figures. Right after break-up, and again as the nights sharpen, is when to go. On Lac du Tilleul the same rules apply, with local timing.
Our records carry no access rule either way. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Should this one be busy, Lac Bulger is 1.2 km off. Check the position on Lac du Tilleul before loading the car.
