Dull, settled light over the water, with flat calm through the day and steady pressure. Fish at Lac Queusot should hold close to the shaded margin through bright spells. A tough forecast; the night offers the only real chance. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Night
Set in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Lac Queusot is a Quebec water. This is mixed forest ground. At 2 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. On size it sits at the modest end of our Abitibi-Témiscamingue list. Val-d'Or sits 101 km from the bank. Malartic is 113 km and Deep River 124 km. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Records held for Abitibi-Témiscamingue cover northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. At Lac Queusot the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
Expect July to average close to 17°C, with January the cold end at about -16°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Hard cover is dependable here; it goes around early May. On average, early May opens the water and late November closes it again. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. On Lac Queusot that shapes the whole year.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Blavincourt sits 0.7 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Queusot in what we hold.
