A grey, even sky over the water, with a faint SW drift and no real change in pressure. Fish at Lac des Crioceres should hold close to the first drop-off and weed lines. A hard day on paper; the morning edges the rest. Go lighter and slower than usual. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Set in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Lac des Crioceres is a Quebec water. The bank gives way to taiga. Senneterre lies 109 km from the water. Then Val-d'Or, 112 km, and Saint-Boniface, 122 km. Water in the same corner: Lac Panere at 0.5 km, Lac Ecrou within 0.5 km, Lac de l'Ivraie at 0.6 km, Lac des Bostryches within 0.7 km and Lac Jost at 1 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Across Abitibi-Témiscamingue, recorded fish include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. The county list is broader than any single water. On Lac des Crioceres the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -17°C in January. Water stays cold even at the height of the year. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. Late spring and early autumn carry the year between them. Expect Lac des Crioceres to follow that timing.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Lac Panere at 0.5 km is the sensible second choice. Treat Lac des Crioceres as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
