Flat light and a covered sky today, with a useful SSE wind pushing food about and steady pressure. Most of the action on Lac Bigart should come off sheltered bays and points. One clear peak today: the morning. Slow down and let the fish find the bait. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Within Capitale-Nationale, Quebec, you have Lac Bigart. The bank gives way to boreal forest. Surface area is around 11 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The edge runs 1.4 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Laurentides is the closest place, 18 km off. It is 83 km to Sainte-Foy, the nearest city. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Across Capitale-Nationale, recorded fish include lake sturgeon, Atlantic sturgeon and longnose sucker. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. On Lac Bigart the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -15°C in January. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around early May. On the long-run averages the water opens up around early May and starts locking again about mid November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Lac Bigart runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
We have no record of the rules that apply on this bank. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Walleye come to jigs worked slow near bottom, and to trolled crankbaits along the drops at dusk. Provincial rules still apply whatever the bank status. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Petit lac Landry, 0.6 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the current arrangement for Lac Bigart.
