Moonlight in and out behind the cloud tonight, with stillness over the whole water and the barometer holding steady. Expect most activity at Reeds Lake around inflow corners and shaded margins. If you must go, go in the morning. Treat it as a scouting trip with a rod in hand. Bundle up; the fishing will be slow but not impossible.

Reeds Lake is a Sandy Bay water, Saskatchewan side. Height above sea level is 299 metres. This is sizeable water at about 7.97 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. Ground here is low by Saskatchewan standards. Pelican Narrows sits 49 km from here and is the nearest stop. It is 466 km to Saskatoon, the nearest city. No border sits close enough to matter.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. County-wide records name northern pike, walleye and yellow perch. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. On Reeds Lake the first feature you find is usually worth a session.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 17°C, while January sits near -23°C. Long winters and short summers set the pattern. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly early May. In an average year the thaw lands around early May and the freeze near early November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. At Reeds Lake the season follows that pattern closely.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Trout here take small spinners, spoons and, where fly water allows, a nymph or dry. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Pita Lake, 7.6 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Ask locally about Reeds Lake if anything is unclear.
