An even grey lid over the water, with an easy breeze from the W with the barometer flat. The water to cover at Lac Williams is the margins and the shelf beyond them. The best of it runs morning through afternoon. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

This water sits in Laurentides, Quebec. It sits 22 km in from the sea. It runs to roughly 11 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. About 2.0 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. It lies lower than most water we list in Quebec. Some 12 km away sits Saint-Canut, the nearest settlement. Further out sit Lachute (12 km) and Mirabel (15 km). No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
Depth is not on record here, so the bank has to tell you. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Reported across Laurentides: pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. On Lac Williams the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
On the long-term average, July reads 20°C and January reads -12°C. Four clear seasons, with a proper winter at one end. Break-up comes around mid April, and the run that follows is short and strong. Expect the water usable from around mid April until roughly early December. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Plan around that when you fish Lac Williams.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. Lac Dawson, 2.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Check the current arrangement for Lac Williams.
