A closed sky with even light today, with a light chop building from the SSW with a settled glass. Most of the action on Lac Caroline should come off the shallows early and the drop later. The day peaks in the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Laurentides in Quebec is where Lac Caroline sits. The bank gives way to pine and birch. At about 11 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. A shoreline of some 1.6 km keeps the choices simple. The town to know is Saint-Sauveur, 13 km out. Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne is the closest city, 36 km away. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Survey and observation records for Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Species recorded across the county may be limited to a few waters. Lac Caroline gives up more to patience than to distance.
The year swings from about -12°C in January to roughly 19°C in July. Winter puts a hard lid on this one. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly late April. Climate averages put the opening at about late April and the closing near early December. Late spring and early autumn carry the year between them. On Lac Caroline the same rules apply, with local timing.
Access status is simply unknown for this water. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. Lac Evans sits 1 km off and takes the overflow. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Caroline for certain.
