Heavy overcast holding through the day, with mild air moving in from the SSW with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Sunset are likely to sit near bays that hold the day's warmth. The day peaks in the morning. Fish confidently and change only when the bites stop. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Sunset lies in Laurentides, in Quebec. The coast is 27 km away. About 4 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. On size it sits at the modest end of our Laurentides list. Saint-Sauveur lies 12 km from the water. Then Morin-Heights, 12 km, and Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts, 14 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Across Laurentides, recorded fish include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. The county list is broader than any single water. On Lac Sunset the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
The seasonal spread runs -13°C to 19°C. The middle months are generous; the ends are demanding. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. Averages place the thaw at late April and the freeze at early December. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Anyone fishing Lac Sunset regularly works to that calendar.
Nothing in our records says who may fish here. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. For a change of water, Lac Hughes is 1.7 km distant. For Lac Sunset, the notice at the access point is the final word.
