Cloud from horizon to horizon today, with a faint SSW drift and steady pressure. Most of the action on Lac Roger should come off sheltered bays and points. The morning is where the day comes good. Ride the conditions while they last. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Night
You will find Lac Roger in Laurentides, Quebec. The setting is pine and birch. At 3 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. On size it sits at the modest end of our Laurentides list. For supplies, Saint-Canut is 13 km out. The big place round here is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 35 km distant. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Open biodiversity records for Laurentides list pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. Anyone new to Lac Roger should walk it once before setting up.
Long-term averages put July at about 19°C and January near -12°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. The lid arrives early and lasts until roughly late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near early December in autumn. The weeks after the thaw and the ones before the freeze are the strongest. Lac Roger runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Evans at 0.8 km is the sensible second choice. For Lac Roger in particular, ask before you travel.
