Soft grey light all day today, with light air out of the SSW and pressure going nowhere. On Lac Clark, work the margins and the shelf beyond them first. Save your energy for the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Clark sits within Laurentides in Quebec. The surroundings are rolling bush. Surface area runs to about 2 hectares — small enough to read in one session. Most waters listed here for Laurentides are larger. Supplies mean a trip to Saint-Canut, 10 km off. The big place round here is Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne, 33 km distant. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and brook trout. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Lac Clark fishes better once you know its edges.
Between January at about -12°C and July at about 20°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Winter shuts the surface down for months. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around mid April. Break-up near mid April, freeze-up near early December: that is the shape of an average year. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Lac Clark runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. If the gate is shut, Lac Chevreuil at 0.6 km is the nearest alternative. What applies at Lac Clark may have changed since it was mapped.
