Dull, settled light over the water, with a faint S drift with the glass holding level. Give sheltered bays and points the first hour at Lac Toge. A stay-home graph, with the morning as the one excuse to go. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Look for Lac Toge in the Côte-Nord part of Quebec. Around the bank it is taiga. On water this small, stealth matters more than range. On size it sits at the modest end of our Côte-Nord list. The town to know is Forestville, 130 km out. After that come Saint-Honoré at 130 km and Saint-Fulgence at 134 km. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Public occurrence data for Côte-Nord names logperch. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. The shape of Lac Toge rewards a slow walk along one bank.
Long-term averages put July at about 15°C and January near -19°C. Ice holds for a long stretch, so the open weeks matter more here than further south. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near mid May. Break-up near mid May, freeze-up near mid November: that is the shape of an average year. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. Plan around that when you fish Lac Toge.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Crane at 0.3 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Toge carry more weight than any list.
