A rainy spell sitting over the area, with just enough S wind to ripple the surface and the barometer holding steady. Activity on Lac Medoc should centre on windblown banks where food collects. A grinding day likely, with the evening worth the effort if any is. Scale down and fish slowly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Medoc is set in Côte-Nord, Quebec. It sits at 571 metres above sea level. It sits higher than most water we list in Quebec. Saint-Honoré sits 127 km from here and is the nearest stop. Then Forestville, 129 km, and Saint-Fulgence, 130 km. Other water nearby: Lac Buis sits 0.6 km out, Lac Tabi just 0.9 km, Lac Boa sits 0.9 km out, Lac Emir just 1.5 km and Lac Lea sits 1.7 km out. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Public occurrence data for Côte-Nord names logperch. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. On Lac Medoc that means starting tight and working out.
Long-term averages put July at about 15°C and January near -19°C. This is a two-season water: locked, then wide open. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near mid May. From about mid May to around early November, expect open water on the long-run figures. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. That shapes the year on Lac Medoc.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. Lac Buis sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. Where Lac Medoc is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
