A closed sky with even light today, with a gentle ripple from the SSE and no real change in pressure. Lac Sepia should fish best around the first drop-off and weed lines today. Numbers are low everywhere; the morning is the pick of them. Go lighter and slower than usual. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Look for Lac Sepia in the Côte-Nord part of Quebec. It sits at 563 metres above sea level. It runs to roughly 15 hectares — big enough to hold fish away from the bank, small enough to learn. Roughly 2.3 km of bank means you can walk to a fresh area when one goes quiet. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. Forestville is the closest place, 126 km off. It is 138 km to Saguenay, the nearest city. Rules here are straightforward: one set of provincial rules.
There is no published depth for this one, so start shallow and work out. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Public occurrence data for Côte-Nord names logperch. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Lac Sepia that means starting tight and working out.
The range across the year is -19°C to 15°C. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. Look for the thaw near mid May; the fishing lifts straight after. The season between ice runs from about mid May to early November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. That is the shape of the year on Lac Sepia.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Should this one be busy, Lac Lerol is 1.1 km off. None of that is settled for Lac Sepia in what we hold.
