Damp, showery conditions today, with light air out of the S with the glass holding level. Expect most activity at Lac Tan around the calm side of the wind. Expectations low today; if anything moves, it will be in the evening. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Tan is one of the Côte-Nord waters in Quebec. This is taiga ground. A splashy cast here empties the swim; a quiet one owns it. On size it sits at the modest end of our Côte-Nord list. Head to Saint-Honoré, 125 km away, for anything you forgot. It is 137 km to Saguenay, the nearest city. What else is close: Lac Aria within 1 km, Lac Soc at 1.4 km, Lac Tabi within 1.5 km, Lac Emir at 1.5 km and Lac Buis within 1.9 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Open biodiversity records for Côte-Nord list logperch. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. The shape of Lac Tan decides where the fish sit.
Expect July near 15°C and January near -19°C on the long-run figures. Long winters and short summers set the pattern. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around mid May. Expect the water usable from around mid May until roughly mid November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Expect Lac Tan to follow that timing.
No access rule appears in what we hold. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Rules for this water may differ from the county norm. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Failing this one, try Lac Aria, 1 km away. Rules at Lac Tan are worth checking on the day.
