Soft grey light all day today, with an easy breeze from the SSE with a settled glass. Whatever swims in Lac Eta should be near any hard bottom among the soft. A grinding day likely, with the morning worth the effort if any is. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Eta is a Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean water, Quebec side. Boreal forest runs right down to the water. It sits higher than most water we list in Quebec. Saint-Honoré sits 132 km from the bank. Forestville is 133 km and Saint-Fulgence 136 km. If this one is busy: Lac Tougan sits 0.5 km out, Lac Rea the better part of 1.1 km, Lac des Rales sits 1.5 km out, Lac Cormoran the better part of 1.6 km and Lac Pale sits 2 km out. No border sits close enough to matter.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Reported across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean: northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. Lac Eta repays a walk before the first cast.
July runs about 15°C on average, January about -19°C. Little of the calendar is open water, so timing counts for everything. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near mid May. The open-water window runs from around mid May to about mid November in an average year. Early summer and early autumn carry the open-water season. The season on Lac Eta follows the weather closely.
The access position is unclear from public sources. Mapping is blank for access, so scout the approach before committing the car. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. Lac Tougan at 0.5 km is the sensible second choice. Signs at Lac Eta carry more weight than any list.
