A rainy spell sitting over the area, with a whisper of wind from the SSW with a settled glass. The productive water at Lac Tanne will be around the first drop-off and weed lines. Quiet conditions all day, with the morning marginally better. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Lac Tanne is an Outaouais water, Quebec side. Everything around it is pine and birch. About 3 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Our Outaouais list holds plenty of bigger water. Saint-Boniface is the closest place, 47 km off. For a city, Gatineau is 162 km off. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Fish documented in Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch and smallmouth bass. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. Fish Lac Tanne to its features, not to its size.
On the long-term average, July reads 18°C and January reads -16°C. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from late April. In an average year the thaw lands around late April and the freeze near late November. Just after the ice goes and just before it returns, the fishing lifts. Expect Lac Tanne to follow that timing.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Lac Ganse at 1.4 km is the sensible second choice. For Lac Tanne in particular, ask before you travel.
