Showers crossing the water today, with enough SSW wind to stack food downwind and no real change in pressure. Activity on Lac Racine should centre on any hard bottom among the soft. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. The autumn feed-up is on; baitfish areas are the key.

Mauricie, Quebec, is where Lac Racine sits. It stands 426 metres above sea level. The water covers some 16 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. The bank runs about 2.8 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. The closest town, Leblanc, is 55 km away. Trois-Rivières is the closest city, 228 km away. It lies deep inside the county rather than near an edge.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Public occurrence data for Mauricie names northern pike, brook trout, walleye and yellow perch. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. On Lac Racine that means starting tight and working out.
Between January at about -17°C and July at about 16°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The ice season is long here and the open one short. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around early May. Ice usually gives way near early May, and forms again about mid November. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Racine.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Read any posted signs at the access point rather than assuming. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Lac Pot, 2.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Racine for certain.
