Heavy overcast holding through the day, with the water lying quiet with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac de la Tour are likely to sit near the margins and the shelf beyond them. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Lac de la Tour lies within the bounds of Mauricie, Quebec. It stands 528 metres above sea level. About 7 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. It is high ground by Quebec standards. The nearest town is Leblanc, 60 km away. Further out sit Manawan (66 km) and Weymontachie (70 km). Close by you also have: Lac Savard at 0.5 km, Lac Fox a shade over 1.2 km, Lac Bow at 2.8 km, Lac Barrette a shade over 2.8 km and Lac Pot at 4.4 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Mauricie records list northern pike, brook trout and walleye among the fish reported. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Work Lac de la Tour in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Expect July near 16°C and January near -17°C on the long-run figures. This far north the hard season runs and runs. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from early May. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Plan around that when you fish Lac de la Tour.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. Mapping shows a campsite some 1.4 km from the water. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. For a change of water, Lac Savard is 0.5 km distant. For Lac de la Tour in particular, ask before you travel.
