Heavy overcast holding through the day, with stillness over the whole water and pressure sitting still. The fish at Lac Noix are likely to sit near the calm side of the wind. The numbers single out the night. Cover water early, then settle where the signs are. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Noix is one of the Mauricie waters in Quebec. It lies 549 metres above sea level. The far bank is a conversation away, so keep low and quiet. On size it sits at the modest end of our Mauricie list. The nearest town is Weymontachie, 37 km away. After that come Leblanc at 56 km and Saint-Félicien at 98 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Species logged across Mauricie include northern pike, brook trout and walleye. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. On Lac Noix that means starting tight and working out.
The range across the year is -18°C to 16°C. The ice season is long here and the open one short. Firm cover through the cold months, then open water from early May. The lid tends to go about early May and return around mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Noix.
The paperwork position is blank for this one. Nothing is listed nearby for parking or launching a boat. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Parking is often the real limit rather than the bank itself. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Lac Pie at 0.8 km is the sensible second choice. Confirm access to Lac Noix locally before you travel.
