Heavy overcast holding through the day, with a light chop building from the SSW and steady pressure. Activity on Lac Mildred should centre on the weed line and any gaps in it. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

Lac Mildred is one of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue listings for Quebec. Height above sea level is 453 metres. With some 38 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. The edge runs 3.2 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. Head to Leblanc, 115 km away, for anything you forgot. Beyond it, Senneterre at 117 km and Manawan at 134 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Reported across Abitibi-Témiscamingue: northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. On Lac Mildred the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
Average temperature peaks around 16°C in July and bottoms out near -18°C in January. A short, intense season is the rule this far north. After early May the shallows warm and the fish move up. On average, early May opens the water and mid November closes it again. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Expect Lac Mildred to follow that timing.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Mapping records no facilities at all near this water. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Look for a notice board at the entrance. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Lac Aggie, 1.3 km away, makes the obvious fallback. What applies at Lac Mildred may have changed since it was mapped.
