Dull, settled light over the water, with a faint SSE drift and no real change in pressure. Most of the action on Lac Kevin should come off the margins and the shelf beyond them. A stay-home graph, with the morning as the one excuse to go. Quiet tactics only; the fish will not chase today.

You will find Lac Kevin in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. The surroundings are northern bush. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Quebec listings. Nearest place of any size is Pont Rouge, 188 km away. Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc is 189 km and Labrecque 190 km. Close by you also have: Lac des Outardes 1.4 km away, Lac Plie at 1.8 km, Lac de la Boussole 2 km away, Lac Reveur at 2 km and Lac de la Tortue 2.2 km away. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Survey and observation records for Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean include northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. Some of the species recorded here are protected or tightly regulated, so check what may be targeted before you fish. On Lac Kevin a short move beats a long cast.
Climate records put July near 15°C and January near -20°C. Cold dominates the calendar on water this far north. After mid May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Break-up near mid May, freeze-up near early November: that is the shape of an average year. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. The season on Lac Kevin rarely departs from it.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. Public mapping records no formal access here, so plan for a walk and soft ground. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Rules differ from one water to the next round here. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. For a change of water, Lac des Outardes is 1.4 km distant. Signs at Lac Kevin carry more weight than any list.
