A grey, even sky over the water, with a stiffish breeze from the SSW and the barometer holding steady. Most of the action on Lac Hendricks should come off reed fringes and open pockets. The night should out-fish the rest of the day. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones.

Outaouais, Quebec, is where Lac Hendricks sits. The ground round it is rolling bush. This is a pocket water of some 4 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. On size it sits at the modest end of our Outaouais list. Wakefield sits 12 km from here and is the nearest stop. Val-des-Monts is 20 km away, with Cantley at 23 km. No boundary runs near, so the local rules hold throughout.
No chart reached our records; the first cast is your sounding. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Fish documented in Outaouais include pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rainbow smelt and Iowa darter. County records show what lives in the area; the local agency holds the water-by-water list. Work Lac Hendricks in sections rather than trying to cover it.
July runs about 19°C on average, January about -13°C. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Expect the water usable from around late April until roughly early December. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac Hendricks.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. Lac Long, 1.2 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Ask locally about Lac Hendricks if anything is unclear.
