Overcast skies today, with a firm SSW blow and steady pressure. Expect most activity at Lac Glacon around sheltered bays and points. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Look for Lac Glacon in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. The ground around here is taiga. Roughly 12 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. About 1.8 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. Compared with other Quebec water on our list, it sits high. Nearest place of any size is Leblanc, 73 km away. Saguenay sits 175 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. No county line comes close, which keeps the paperwork simple.
No depth figure has reached our records, which makes a plummet useful. Weed, then depth: that is the order to fish a water of this kind. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. County-wide records name northern pike, Atlantic salmon and lake whitefish. At least one recorded species is protected in parts of its range; read the local rules before targeting anything. Treat Lac Glacon as a water to read rather than to cover.
On the long-term average, July reads 16°C and January reads -18°C. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. The freeze runs deep into the year, with break-up near early May. Average temperatures cross freezing around early May in spring and again near mid November in autumn. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. At Lac Glacon the season follows that pattern closely.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Signs go up and come down, so check on the day. If the gate is shut, Lac Court at 1.2 km is the nearest alternative. For Lac Glacon, the notice at the access point is the final word.
