Passing showers with dry spells between, with a gentle ripple from the SSW and steady pressure. Lac Fee should fish best around inflow corners and shaded margins today. The forecast is against you; the night is the least bad option. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

Outaouais in Quebec is where Lac Fee sits. The surroundings are mixed forest. It covers about 10 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. There is roughly 1.9 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. Saint-Boniface lies 44 km from the water. Maniwaki is 48 km away, with Saint-Raphaël at 52 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
We hold no depth figure for this one. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Open biodiversity records for Outaouais list pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Lac Fee a short move beats a long cast.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 18°C, the water has a wide range to work through. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about late April. Break-up near late April, freeze-up near late November: that is the shape of an average year. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Anyone fishing Lac Fee regularly works to that calendar.
Our records carry no access rule either way. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. If the gate is shut, Lac Evan at 1.2 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Lac Fee in what we hold.
